April Showers
March/April 2008 Wedding Theme

Be it Bridal showers, bachelorette parties, or the day of the vows, The Chick Lit Review is looking to publish chick lit short stories with a Wedding theme in April for our March/April 2008 theme. “April Showers” stories should be centrally focused on some aspect of the weddings (brides gone bad, envious maids of honor, peek-a-boo tales of bachelor parties, honeymoon rendezvous, romantic wedding exchanges, etc.). Stories do not have to occur directly on the wedding day, as long as matrimony and the process around it (and sometimes the mayhem behind it) is the major theme. We’re looking for quirky fun chick lit stories between 800 to 2,500 words.

“April Showers” chick lit stories will be published in April 2008.

Guidelines

1. Stories with the “April Showers” chick lit theme will be accepted through March 26, 2008. Stories must be between 800 to 2,500 words.

2. Simultaneous submissions are accepted. However, we ask that writers notify us if their work was accepted elsewhere.

3. Previously published work is acceptable as long as the writer has maintained rights to the work.

4. While there is no monetary compensation for writers, writers with selected work will receive publishing credit in The Chick Lit Review.

5. Selected writers must respond to The Chick Lit Review’s notification within 7 days.

6. Please email entries to: igreen@chicklitreview.org with the subject line: “April Showers: [place title of your story].” Stories must be placed in the body of the email. Attachments are NOT accepted.
