1. What inspired you to write chick lit?

I really started getting into chick lit when i first read Jane Green's Spellbound and Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella. These authors and many more actually inspired me to love chick lit... i'd never really connected with any other genre of book in the same way and found myself thinking about the characters, relating to them and laughing with them... I wanted to give people that same feeling... and so started my chick lit writing journey. I love the genre so much, especially reading it... it takes me to such a great place.

2. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

Well, I'm also a Songwriter so I spend most of my time writing songs and co-writing with great artists and producers in the music industry. Songwriting is another one of my great passions, in fact my life as a writer started in song writing.

3. Out of all of the books you have written, which was the most fun to write and why?

I really loved writing Secret Agent Lipstick, although I have such a fond attachment to my first book, Dance Shoes, Dreams & Lattes... Secret Agent Lipstick is about a young woman who stumbles on a lipstick that promises to change her life forever, morphing her into someone else any time she wears it - A top secret agent with superhuman powers allowing her to solve crimes! It was so much fun to write.

4. Are there any naughty episodes in your novels that mirror real life?

Not really, most people I know say I have a great imagination... I'm still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

5. What is your favorite time of the day: morning, afternoon, or night?

I interchange between the three! Sometimes I love the mornings, other times the night and then suddenly, I'll find myself enjoying an afternoon!

6. If you could cast yourself as a character in one of your novels, who would it be?

Probably Carina in my first novel. She loves to sing and dance so there is probably a small part of me in her, especially as she was my first creation! We have a lot in common!

7. What did you do to celebrate the publishing of your first novel?

My family popped the champagne! And then I painted the town red with my sisters and best friends. We had a ball!

8. Is there anything you’d like to share with your readers?

I'm currently dabbling in lots of writing at the moment, please keep an eye out for my novels to come... I hope you enjoy them and love reading them as much as I loved writing them :)
