1. What inspired you to write chick lit?

I love writing about a man and a woman who meet under contemporary circumstances and work their way through life. Ideally, my characters have happy endings but I love detailing how they get there. I write what I love to read!

2. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

I'm a huge reader. I just went on vacation and I read a book a day. That, to me is heaven! i also love time with my husband, my girls and dogs!

3. Out of all of the books you have written, which was the most fun to write and why?

HOT STUFF was the most fun because Uncle Yank was introduced and he is such a hoot. He's a secondary character who raised his three nieces in the Hot Zone trilogy (HOT STUFF, HOT NUMBER, and HOT ITEM and he's also in HOT PROPERTY due out in July 2008. I love writing light books that have secondary, fun characters or pets.

4. Are there any naughty episodes in your novels that mirror real life?

Haha. If I told you, I'd have to kill you. Kidding! No naughty episodes mirror real life. I'm a real suburban mom! Hope that doesn't disappoint. :)

5. What is your favorite time of the day: morning, afternoon, or night?

MORNING. Once I'm up and moving, that is. I love either relaxing in bed which is rare or getting moving and accomplishing things during the day!

6. If you could cast yourself as a character in one of your novels, who would it be?

I love all my heroines because I feel they exemplify wonderful people who have trying situations but they persevere. They can put themselves into situations *I* might not have the nerve to act on myself!

7. What did you do to celebrate the publishing of your first novel?

My husband and I went out to dinner. But the real celebration was the first phone call to everyone I knew, of course!

8. Is there anything you’d like to share with your readers?

I'd love to THANK THEM for buying, for spending their hard earned money on my books, for writing and telling me the good (and the occasional bad!) and just for being readers! And I'd love for them to know where to find me online:
