We left Eve flirting with Ben at the bar.  They went on two great dates.  On the third date, Ben told her that he’d never been so turned on by a girl with such small boobs before.  He called twice after their second date, but Eve screened both his calls.  She just couldn’t forgive the phrase “such small boobs,” even if they did turn him on.

On the way back to my house Ana talked about her conversation with Garret.  He managed to rearrange his work schedule so he could come visit next weekend.

“That’s what I love about him,” Ana said, as she stopped to take off her strappy pink heels.  “He always makes room for me.”

While Ana’s sore feet were gingerly walking on cloud nine, I thought about what Kevin said and tried to decide how much of it was drunk asshole talk and how much was true.

“OhmyGod,  Sofia!  We forgot to go to Chantilly!”  Ana stopped in her tracks and actually covered her mouth with her hand.  Paul.  I totally forgot we were supposed to go see him.  “We can probably still go,” she dug her phone out to check the time.

“It’s ok, I’ll see him tomorrow,” I said, looking down at my shoes.

I looked cautiously up at Ana.  She knew by the waver in my voice that I had reached the point of no return in my relationship with Paul.  There was nothing she could do to change my mind.

“Let’s go.  I’m cold.”  Ana smiled and took my arm.  We hurried through the fog to my house.
